It's time that government stops taking actions that provide no

increased safety, protection or otherwise, to anyone within the

public, solely for the purpose of providing members of the public,

and, critics, a false sense of security. The reactive nature we are

so accustomed to seeing, is that actions are taken, without any real

thought, to simply allay false fears. This is ludicrous. When

ridiculous actions are taken, that provide nothing, then those

actions then become the norm, and are what is required to be taken in

the future.

One only needs to fly frequently, to see the nonsense that frequent

travellers must endure, with little evidence that we are better

protected today than we were prior to 9/11. And today I see that

there will be a bill introduced to put off baggage checks

indefinitely. Now THAT would provide REAL protection to us flyers.
