Re: FW: - Climate Change Hearings and the roll(?) of nuclear power
Here are my two cents worth. I don't believe there is unequivocal evidence
that global warming is necessarily occurring due to man made CO2
production, or that it is even actually a long term trend. I do believe
however, that the evidence that the fractional CO2 content in the
atmosphere is increasing is very strong, and this is most likelt due to
human activity. Since this is the only atmosphere we have, I believe we
should not be too dismissive with regard to potential deleterious
effects as yet not considered or understood in such a complex system. In
other words, whether global warming theories are correct or not, a change
in the composition of our atmosphere is not to be taken lightly. To the
extent that the use of nuclear power generation alleviates the problem, I
think the argument is valid.
