Technical Group Manager

Radiological Control Organization/Safety and Health Department/Environment,

Safety, Health & Quality Directorate. Level 41/42. 

A Bachelor's Degree in Health Physics or a related discipline and 10 to 15

years of experience in Health Physics technical support and/or radiological

control field operations. Requires a working knowledge of DOE regulations,

Orders and directives, and State of Washington rules and regulations and

ANSI standards. Effective oral communication and technical writing skills

are required, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. A Master's

degree in Health Physics, or a related field, and previous experience at a

nuclear facility are preferred. Candidate certification by the American

Board of Health Physics or be in the process of obtaining certification is

desirable. Must be capable of making independent decisions regarding the

establishment of radiological control program policies and their integration

into operating procedures and manuals. The candidate must possess the

ability to work within broadly defined Federal and State rules and

regulations to identify alternatives and recommended approaches.
