Why can't we get any American officials make a simple statement like that

about our fuel? (Yeah, I know. It's not the same kind of fuel. But our

people won't make that sort of simple statement about ANYthing nuclear.)

-----------------------------------------

I have not found any information on RADSAFE about the enrichment of the

fuel, nothing on the cladding, nothing on the composition, whether uranium

oxide or carbide or probably metallic uranium, or mixed oxide or whatsoever.

Interesting to hear, that it is different from US fuel. What is the

difference? There was no information about burnup - which is usually very

different between research reactors and nuclear power plants. There was no

information about dose rates - well, there was no information about anything

on RADSAFE.

But I know from the news distributed on RADSAFE, that it is "weapons grade",

very dangerous and that it was necessary to remove and secure it. There have

been a few comments on RADSAFE - obviously without any knowledge about the

circumstances, at least they were not mentioned.

Is RADSAFE drifting toward the expertise of e.g. Greenpeace? Commenting on

things unknown and without scientific evidence? Then we will loose,

especially after the recent mailings on the justification of using nuclear

weapons, our credibility completely.
