RE: cosmic rays

I was reminded of this link re. cosmic rays and other natural sources of

radiation. Good level of detail.

The following links might help those who wish to understand a little more of

the detail of this subject.

The United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation -

I think that's what it means (UNSCEAR) gave their latest views on Cosmic

Radiation and it effects in its 2000 report.

Annexe A (Dose Assessment Methodologies) summarises the current views on

estimating doses from cosmic radiation in paragraphs 46 - 51. It can be

found at the following URL - http://www.unscear.org/pdffiles/annexa.pdf

Annexe B (Exposures from Natural Radiation Sources) summarises the current

dose estimates to individuals from exposure to cosmic radiation in

paragraphs

7 - 38. Annexe B can be found at the following URL-

http://www.unscear.org/pdffiles/annexb.pdf

I'm not sure how large each of the files will be, but from memory they took

quite a while for my home PC to download.

Warmest regards
