SERIES OF SHORT COURSES ON RADIATION SAFETY
 

A series of ten one-day courses covering topics that range from the fundamentals of radioactivity and radiation to advanced radiation safety and radioactivity will be offered at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey on January 6-10 and February 3-7, 2003.

Courses being offered this session are Fundamentals of Radioactivity, Health Effects of Exposures to Ionizing Radiation, Radiation Instrumentation, Safe Use and Handling of Radioactive Materials, Radiation Safety Program Administration, The Mechanics of Radiation Safety, Radiation Safety for Medical X-ray and Other Machine Sources of Ionizing Radiation, Liquid Scintillation Counting, and Personnel Monitoring for Radiation Protection.  These courses are designed for radiation science safety and applied to health physics professionals. The Series Director is Edward A Christman, Ph.D., CHP.
