Health Physics Technician



Rutgers University, located in central New Jersey, is seeking

candidates for an entry level Health Physics Technician position.



Under the supervision of the University Health Physicist, executes

the routine health and safety services of the radiation safety group

in compliance with State and Federal regulations, including OSHA,

EPA, NRC, NJDEP and University policy.



Typical duties may include, but are not limited to: instrument

calibration, delivery of radioactive materials to end users,

contamination surveys, compliance inspections and managing the

radioactive material inventory program.



Some requirements:



Bachelor's degree in a science program or two years of college-

level science curriculum plus three years of lab technician

experience.



Valid drivers license, two years of driving experience and the ability

to obtain a commercial driver's license.



Will be required to pass a pre-employment physical and pre-

employment drug test.



Any experience in safety procedures or use of radioactive materials

is desirable, though not a requirement.



Salary: $31,277.  Rutgers offers a comprehensive benefit package,

including 100% tuition remission for employees and their children.
