Field Instrument for Measuring Tritium in Water

Fellow RADSAFErs,

Does anyone know the availability of or have experience with a simple,

inexpensive field instrument for the onsite detection of tritium in water

for groundwater remediation on a D&D project? The quantitative accuracy

would not need to be high because "official" tritium concentrations would

be determined using offsite laboratory analyses. The instrument should be

capable of detecting tritium concentration levels down to approximately the

EPA drinking water standard.

Please respond to Chuck Barsy at <<cnbarsy@cmsenergy.com>> or myself.
