That's a good improvement versus NaI (6%, 40 keV). Yet I would not

venture to offer a system capable to automatically recognize patients

from bombs based on that... HPGe is about 8 times better (1.3 keV

and even better at the same line), but even if it were practical

(now it is not because of price and Dewar size/weight), I would argue

that Mark's suggestion was better. 

[ His suggestion was to use the  chirpers - or whatever similar simple

device they have - to locate the source and get an idea of the activity.

If a solution is to beat his idea, it must be capable to check the passants

without them noticing they are checked.]
