Re: more on DU



Since plants are unable to differentiate uranium isotopes, they would absorb no more uranium (atom for atom) from a DU-rich soil than they would otherwise.  And if they are absorbing DU rather than naturally occurring uranium, anyone eating their fruits/vegetables would receive less dose since DU has a lower specific activity than does naturally occuring uranium.



Hey, maybe spreading DU in your garden would be a way to lower your background dose???
