Betreff: BetaScout (Triathler)

I would like to privately discuss experience and procedural information with users of the PerkinElmer BetaScout (manufactured by Hidex as the Triathler).  I am interested in both general operating experience and tritium wipe test procedures.

Roy,
I have worked with it a few years ago, but mostly using the excellent capability of alpha-beta-discrimination for the measurement of radon and even shortlived radon daughters. Please specify your needs as to your measurement requirements and I will see, whether I can help. Since the instrument has a single photomultiplier tube you should be aware, that the background for beta-emitters is high and you have to consider the LLD's you have to achieve.

Best regards,

Franz
