Six receive suspended sentences for the accident that killed two workers.

MITO-A court on Monday handed down suspended sentences and fines for years

of sloppiness and false reassurances that triggered the nation's worst

nuclear accident.

The Mito District Court found six former managers guilty of professional

negligence resulting in death in connection with the 1999 accident at JCO

Co.'s uranium-processing plant in Tokaimura, Ibaraki Prefecture.
