seeking a >200milli-Ci Am-241 sealed source

Greetings,

Our lab is seeking a sealed Am-241 source (>200 milli-Ci) for use in

soils experiments. Our current "dual-gamma" Cs-137/Am-241 sources are

not strong enough for the 59keV Am-241 peak to effectively penetrate our

thicker (2--3+ inches of soil) tanks. So we'd like to purchase a

stronger Am-241 source.

If you or your employer are looking to dispose of or sell an Am-241

source of >=200 milli-Ci, we would be thrilled to make you an offer.

Please contact me at Ed Hill (ehill@mines.edu) or at 303-273-3483.

thank you!

Ed
