RE: U-235 Weight Percent for Natural Uranium

29 April 2003

This topic was addressed in the following publication:

"Isotopic fingerprints for natural uranium ore samples",

International Journal of Mass Spectrometry 193 (1999) 9-14, S. Richter et

al.

The authors included the following suggestions for the ranges of natural

variations in uranium atomic percentages:

234U: 0.0054 - 0.0051

235U: 0.7207 - 0.7201

238U: 99.2748 - 99.2739

Subject: U-235 Weight Percent for Natural Uranium

Has anyone seen a document/regulation that states a range for U-235 weight

percent in natural uranium? Seems like I ran across something years ago,

but cannot locate.
