And you are right on both counts! The real reason why Bernie is treated so
shabbily is of course that his data disprove the LNT and, therefore, make
the
ALARA philosophy useless below the minimum significant risk that Joe and I
defined almost 10 years ago! That is what Joe Alvarez and I have
demonstrated
and then reiterated in the two papers I mentionned. Our conclusion is very
simple: If you want to make a risk prediction for a large number of, let us
say,
average Americans, then you have to take Bernie's raw data and that is by no
means linear. Q.E.D.
