Re: Checked Baggage X-Ray Exposures
We had an Engineer fly in and out of New York with his
Whole Body OSL badge in his checked baggage. His
quarterly badge reading came back with 177 millirem.
The radiation quality was listed as PL (less than 100
keV). This was the only job he had been to during the
quarter and a typical per job reading is normally
anywhere between Minimum and 10 millirem and is listed
as P (greater than 100 keV).
