ACS Symposium on Environmental Radioactivity

The Symposium on Environmental Radioactivity will consist of 53 invited and 

contributed talks, following a consecutive presentation format taking place in 

3 days between September 7 (Sun) and September 9 (Tue). The following 6 half-

day sessions have been assigned: Homeland Security/Safeguards, Regulatory/Gamma 

Spec, Water/Monitoring, Monitoring/Mass Spec/Methods, Environmental 

Radioactivity, Radon/Models. The detailed program will be announced by the ACS 

in the near future.



I encourage you to look at the ACS web page for detailed and continuously 

updated information about the meeting. Go to www.chemistry.org. Click 

on "choose a page", then "meetings", then "New York National Meeting". This 

page informs us that the web-based registration will open on July 14th,

however housing reservation will start on June 23. It is imperative for you to 

secure your housing as soon as the reservation opens, in order to have lower 

rates. Travel information is also available.
