Description: Associate Radiation Safety Officer. Under the direction

of the Radiation Safety Officer the Associate Radiation Safety Officer

(ARSO) will share responsibility for the administration of a Radiation

Protection Program in support of a Broad Scope (Type A) Nuclear Materials

License. 


Required Qualifications: 


1) Bachelor's degree in Health Physics, the physical, chemical or

biological sciences;  

2) Demonstrated experience in a broad based radiation safety program in

an academic setting; 

3) Demonstrated experience in the development, administration and

delivery of radiation safety training programs; and 

4) Demonstrated experience in instrumentation calibration and the

performance and evaluation of field surveys.


Preferred Qualifications: 


1) Registration with the N.R.R.P.T. The Successful candidate will possess

excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills; the ability

to communicate technical information to others; be able to work in a team

environment; and have the ability to work with a wide variety of

constituents.
