Those of who are in the business of radiation safety,

without the quotation marks, know that the problem is

not research.  It is regulation.  If you review many

of the comments in this list, it is apparent that

politics, and not science, is the problem with waste

disposal, exposure limits, transportation, etc. 

Again, write to your legislators.  I am sure they will

value your knowledge and experience "in the business."



As for research funding, I have always felt that

research needs to be continued.  I am surprised that

you think all of the answers are already known.  But,

I guess "in the business" you are in, there is no

further need to solve emergent problems, or do things

better.  Who knows? Research efforts may help the

public, who you equate with all the anti-nuclear

people and not those "in the business,"  might better

understand this "business."
