RE: DU suitcase shipment (reply) - "radiation signature"
Truly the ultimate suicide bomber would be one with Ebola or pneumonic
plague on a large transcontinental flight. Limited air circulation, some
incubation time. Down-side: passenger manifests are traceable. DC Metro
is anonymous.
Dark and troubling thoughts for those who still sleep well...

OTOH, even if it would, it begs the question, what are we doing to remotely
detect shipments of smallpox, anthrax, ebola, sarin, etc.? We could bring
international commerce to a halt and thoroughly inspect every single
shipment through every single port, but I expect the cure would be worse
than the disease in that case. ===========================
Some of these listed items would not even have to be smuggled in. Take your
terrorist willing to die, give them smallpox, Ebola, etc., and let them fly
till they drop, literally. That would spread the disease like wildfire.
My own opinion.
