all true, of course. Well, hacking a password protected site is by far

not as easy as it sounds, I would not be very concerned about it.

 However, the decision to switch Radsafe to "ANS members-only" from the open

international resource it is now would be something I would only regret about

(notice that locking the archives is not good enough; organizing

another archive can be done by just subscribing one of the archiver addresses,

such exist since quite some time). So the list membership will have to be

limited to ANS-members only... do you really want that? Then, if some

journalist is really determined to get hold of the archive, how much effort

will it take to find some legitimate ANS member and get what he wants?

 If there is something really good about todays communications it is the fact that

they are about to become open beyond a critical point where someone can misuse

them for public deception; how fast will most people get used to the new situation 

is another matter. I believe that a journalist who is taking out of context

something publically avaiable on the net is doing his/her own career & credibility

a very bad favour nowadays.
