Re: Plan to rename Livermore lab after `father of the H-bomb' fizzles



Circa 1975, there was an attempt to rename Oak Ridge National Laboratory as Hollifield National Laboratory, after the chair of the erstwhile Joint Committee on Atomic Energy.  In fact, it happened; passed as an act of Congress.  It was soon rescinded, however.
