Overtime pay for any government employee over GS10 level is a moot point.



I don't know what the issue is on the reclassification is but I do know that

the time and a half is times the average GS rating which is about a GS 7 so

if you are rated above a GS 10 or above and were paid for more than 40 hours

work in a week [actually probably 80 hours in a two week pay period] you

would actually be paid at a rate less for those hours over 80 than your

regular pay rate.  That is why many federal employees reject overtime pay in

favor of compensatory time.  We refer to it as "undertime" pay.

Scott, thank you.  I am glad that someone or a group is making this a

priority.  This effects much more than the radsafers.  I felt they were
