I can't agree. I know that what is usually meant is that some perception
will result in
some behavior, but phrasing it "Perception is reality" makes it difficult
to know what a
person is really saying. If you don't know what is being said you can't
argue against it,
which is perhaps why some people like to use the phrase. As a matter of
fact, if
perception is reality then you can't argue against anything and we all might
as well eat
worms.
"their reality" is nonsense as much as "perception is reality" is nonsense,
because there
is only one reality. Making statements that lead logically to multiple
realities just
confuses whatever you are trying to talk about. Once you accept that there
can be
multiple realities, then you can no longer be understood to say anything at
all.
