I can it makes for good press..... Uranium Hexafluoride (UF6)in
the eyes of the powers to be are looking at it this way.
The ore is mined and then milled where UO2 or yellowcake is
produced. The UO2 is then sent to a UF6 production facility,
where the UO2 is combined with anhydrous HF (AHF) and fluorine
gas to form UF6. The UF6 is then shipped for enrichment.
The Idea is to get as much of any of this type of material out of
the hands of the black market. However like I said this makes for
good press so the adminsitration can tell the public that this
nasty hexafluoride is out of the hands of a rouge nation.
Moreover I rather have it shipped here for what ever reason than
anywhere else.
