Job Description: Duties: Use creativity and objectivity to perform studies

and technical activities to arrive at the most costeffective, reliable

technical solution. Some duties may include: Provide advice and expertise to

laboratory personnel during the startup phase of radioanalytical testing

within the new Maywood onsite laboratory; Instruct field personnel in

sampling and preservation requirements for collection of samples for

radioanalytical testing; Oversee field personnel involved in sampling

activities; Insure readiness to implement project specific requirements;

Review analytical data as it becomes available to insure conformance with

quality standards; Implementation of corrective actions in accordance with

these specifications when review of data uncovers deficiencies; Coordinate

any off-site radioanalytical testing and review laboratory data from these

commercial radiochemistry laboratories.



Requirements:   Bachelor or Master degree required in an engineering or

science discipline (Chemistry preferred). Courses in radioactive decay

theory radioanalytical measurement systems is a plus. Experience in the

following areas are a plus: Radiochemical testing section of a commercial

environmental analytical laboratory; Gamma spectroscopy, including sample

preparation and testing and the associated quality control requirements;

Ortec systems; Alpha spectroscopy including sample preparation chemistry and

alpha spectrometer testing equipment.
