CDV-700 and Computer

"Head phone" output serves as gate to "good ol' PNP transistor".

Transistor turns audio pulse to binary signal.

We, back in the 1980's , had this "press" the value 1 key on a pocket

calculator.

  ( soldered wires 1 key switch . . .to transistor...no relay needed )

Set up calculator as " 1 plus" constant . . .every time you 'short' 1

key, adds one . . .

Who needs a computer ?
