Radiation Protection Forum - come along and join in!
Greetings All
I just thought I would drop by and let you know about a new Radiation
Protection Forum that you might be interested in.
The forum is run by IonActive Consulting and is 'non-commercial'. Membership
is required via an automated signup process. The link as shown below:
http://ionactiveweb.adflix.com/IonActive_Forum/index.php
The forum a week old and its aims are simply to bring together like minded
people who have an interest in radiation protection matters. Initially the
forum was intended to be UK based only, but that scope has been moved world
wide!. Its principle objective is to bring a more 'community' feel to those
interested in discussing radiation protection 'online'. In no way does it
intend to stand on the toes of email-based discussion groups, rather its
there to complement them.
Current forum areas are as follows:
Radiation Protection - General Discussion
Radiation Protection - News / Nuclear Issues in the News
FAQ - A section for posting hints and tips
Ask the Expert - A section for asking questions and receiving advice
Equipment Trade Board - an area for asking questions about equipment /
loaning equipment etc
Software / Online Calculators - An area for posting information on those
useful tools for dose calculations etc
WWW Resources - An area for posting general information on WWW based
radiation protection information
Radiation Topic areas, including:
RPA 2000 - an area for discussing the UK RPA certification scheme
Competency, Development & Training - (obvious)
Medical Uses of Ionising Radiation
An off topic area - for anything unrelated to radiation protection
A site news / help area
So please come along and take a look when you have a free moment. Feel free
to join, begin posting, suggest improvements and become a moderator!
Regards
Mark
