Good references on the use of uranium oxydes

Some people here in chemistry are planning to use Uranium oxyde U3O8 and

perhaps thorium oxyde (ThO2). I beleive I know pretty much about the hazards

of such "NORM" and "TENORM" but is there any valuable references regarding

the use of such...chemicals !!!! (I use that words because I may be more

concerned about the chemistry then radioactivity...)I understand the

internal risk vs external risk and all but I want references if any !

In any case, I have MSDS, I have radiological data but I am looking for

reference in lab safety or even regulatory avenues, as here in Canada the

stuff is exempted (about 100 grams of the material, exempted from general

licence, but not from non-proliferation import-export requirements and

transport...)

Any application elsewhere in the big RADSAFE world ? Please advise.

It is funny because I realize that I know very little on such little rad

sources...

Many thanks !
