Re: Bethlehem workers and Western NY State

March 27

Louis Ricciuti (LR) recommended that we do a "little research and reading"

about the New York sites. What would you recommend, Louis, that we read?

I asked for a link to the NIOSH report but none has been forthcoming. You

haven't even acknowledged the request.

Can you recommend any published studies (other than by Gofman et al.) that

show a cause and effect between exposures received by workers at the New

York sites and their current illnesses? I am not saying the illnesses or

deaths were not caused by their exposures, I am merely asking you to

present some evidence to support your case.

It may even be true that these (and other) workers were misinformed about

exposures, or deceived, or outright lied to. Of course that was wrong, but

you still have to show that their exposures led to the diseases that now

afflict them. If you can't show a cause and effect relationship you don't

have a case.
