RE: Feedback - Crash on I-75 kills two, causes radioactive scare
This is why the hazmat paperwork, but especially the emergency guidance, needs to be in the cab, with the driver. Note that at least one important vendor of RAM instructs the shipper to put the emergency guide in a pocket, on the side of the shipping container. Thing is, nobody wants to approach the container, never mind handle it, until they're sure it's ok.
I recommend, to everyone, Sean Austin's advice, which is to clip a copy of the emergency guide to the hazmat papers (which may be integral to the waybill), and hand them to the courier. Then you've done the most you can do, to ensure that he/she has a copy immediately to hand.
Note: Mr Austin is not responsible for any misrepresentation of his ideas by me.
