Description: The Division of Radiation Safety is responsible for the
radiation safety of NIH scientists and support personnel who conduct
research using radioactive materials and radiation producing machinery. This
position will involve a mix of the following responsibilities: performing
bioassay measurements; investigating external and internal radiation
exposures to NIH personnel; providing consultation and technical assistance
to researchers; calibrating and operating equipment for the analysis of
radioactivity in the DRS analytical laboratory; analyzing data, preparing
reports, and documenting radiation safety matters such as enforcement
actions; overseeing waste management, transport and radioactive material
inventory; preparing radioactive material for proper transport per DOT
requirements; and overseeing data collection for personnel dosimetry.

Salary: $30,931 - $66,885
