Extremity Dosimetry Systems

Ontario Power Generation is considering how to improve its Extremity TLD

system. To get some information on what would be the best course to take, we

would like information on systems that other organizations use. The

following are questions that we would like answers to:

1.	Describe your extremity dosimetry system. (i.e. what type of

dosimeter (TLD (including TL compound used, OSL,), how thick, physical

configuration, manufacturer, process internally or use external service,

etc.).

2.	What criteria and standards do you use to specify when Extremity

dosimeters are to be worn?

3.	What is the allowed wearing period (one use, one shift, one week,

etc.)

4.	Do you store your dosimeters between uses or use them for only one

shift. If you store them, where and how is this done?

5.	How many dosimeters do you use per year.

6.	Is there a contact person to get further information?

Thanks in advance for your help.
