Eberline RO-2 : Orientation

Yo All..



 



Just a quick one.



 



To my (limited) knowledge the Eberline RO-2 should not be sensitive to

orientation with respect to zeroing should it?



 



I am testing such an instrument at the moment, it operates fine when in the

horizontal position but put it in the vertical position and the 'zero'

changes to about 1.2. This occurs even if the instrument is switched off and

the batteries disconnected. 



 



Anyone have any ideas or suggestions (other than get it fixed?!).
