Seeking Master's student
I have support available for a qualified person who may wish to seek a
Master's degree in Physics and Astronomy at Vanderbilt University, in
the Health Physics emphasis program (see
http://sitemason.vanderbilt.edu/physics/graduate/healthphysmasters for
more details). Support is available for 1-3 years, and should cover
tuition and other expenses in Nashville, TN. Our HP program has either a
medical or environmental engineering specialty; however, the support I
have is from a specific NIH grant, thus this student's work *must*
follow the medical specialty, with an already prescribed plan of
research. The research involves quantification of activity in nuclear
medicine cameras, identification of detection limits and quantification
uncertainties, and modeling of absorbed dose using Monte Carlo methods.
All equipment, materials, and training in techniques will be provided.
Interested parties should contact me by phone, fax, email, or letter as
shown below.
