Regional Health Physicist Position (West Coast)



PETNET Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is currently seeking a Regional Health

Physicist,

for the Corporate Radiological Compliance Department, to be based on the

west

coast of the US. Preferably in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. This is a

new position that will primarily be responsible for implementation of the

Radiation Safety Program at the radiopharmacies located in the western

United

States. In particular, this position will be responsible for conducting

training, review of radiological operations, review of effluent monitoring

results, review of cyclotron operations, emergency response and licensing

of

these facilities.



The candidate must have a B.S. or M.S. (preferred) in Health Physics, with

at

least five years experience in operational health physics related to

nuclear

pharmacies, medical facilities, and/or materials licenses. Experience with

the

radiation safety issues associated with cyclotrons or radiopharmaceutical

manufacturing is very desirable. The ideal candidate should be a

self-motivated individual, have a strong technical background, sound

knowledge

of regulatory requirements (NRC/DOT/Agreement States), and have excellent

interpersonal and communication skills. Approximately 50% travel is

required

for this position.
