QFEs and criticalities

First a quick note of thanks for the replies on the query on real time 

extremity dosimetry.   Any further comments/links, suppliers etc would be 

appreciated.



Now for the new question.   Does anyone in Radsafe land know of any documents 

which details testing of Quartz Fibre Electrometers QFEs (I think they're 

sometimes referred to as pencil dosimeters in the US) for use in large pulsed 

fields of radiation, in particular criticality events (such as the one at Tokai 

Mura).   While my employer (who insists on remaining nameless) still retains 

them for this purpose I'm a little concerned that I can't find any documentation 

which says that they will work in this type of application.   Once again the 

I'd be grateful for any assistance the Radsafe community can provide.
