What factors other than uranium pyrolite accumulation in testicles can

explain the 50% increase in birth defects after nine years?

----

You don't seem to understand the difference between hereditary effects and

effects on somatic cells. Malformations are mainly due to effects on somatic

cells. Serious mutations on the germ cell level will statistically be

strongly selected against. A damaged sperm will never make it to fertilize

an egg - if it is on a DNA level you can compare with the offspring of

survivors of the bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki: Did you read any of those

related publications (offspring to atomic bomb survivors where the

conception occured after the bomb droppings) and if so which publications?

You should go back and consider other factors of toxic or nutritional

character which may affect somatic tissues in the developing fetus.

One-dimensional thinking ("only one hypothesis") will not help in

understanding genetics (30 000 genes with alleles is like a problem with 30

000 dimensions - you have to discuss this on a mechanistic level and in such

a way that it stands out as clear thinking rather than a political agenda.

Malformations are more common among poor people who live in bad areas. The

State of New York and vicinity to waste dumps of various qualities is a

topic we discussed on Radsafers about 3 years ago. Start there to learn what

a correlation is worth. If you don't find that stuff - just consider that

all people who ate tomatoes 250 years ago have died. That is a 100 %

correlation. Another good correlation is how the Chernobyl fallout in

France matches the supporters of Le Pen:

Cause and effect: Study that hard! (sorry Radsafer fellows but it is 2.50

a.m. in Sweden and I have had enough of these crazy correlations, AIDS is

due to Radiation (Bertell), AIDS is due to mobile phone radiation (Coghill),

radioiodine causes overweight of americans (Bertell) melanomas are caused by

FM transmissions (Swedish observers - check with Medline), mobile phones

protect against tumors on the opposite side of the head (Swedish observers),

mad cow disease may be due to mobile phones (Swedish observer - for those

who read Swedish it is here:

http://www.aftonbladet.se/debatt/0103/12/debatt.html... I didn't know that

cows used mobile phones BTW). Hypothesis generated observations may be a

subtopic of some interest.
