(the ALARA sect) who devoutly believe that any radiation exposure, no
matter how low, would result in some degree of harm. I was not aware
that there also existed an opposing sect who believe that any degree of
radiation exposure, no matter how high, could have no harmful
consequences.
The latter is not a fair assessment. There is a group that believe
firmly that low levels of radiation are absolutely not harmful. Both
groups ignore evidence to the contrary of their entrenched positions. I
contend (only as a list member, not moderator) that honest observers
will admit that more information is needed before this debate is
resolved.
