The University of Utah has several Cs-137 brachytherapy seeds that are no longer needed. We would like to make them available to another licensee.
There are two sets of sources. One set is from Amersham-Searle and is 20% iridioplatinum with activities ranging from approximately 6 mCi (2.6 mg Ra Eq) to 32 mCi (12.7 mg Ra Eq). The second set was manufactured by 3M and is stainless steel with current activities ranging from approximately 16 mCi (6.6 mg Ra Eq) to 49 mCi (19.7 mg Ra Eq). Each set has 16 seeds with physical lengths of 20 mm.
If you are interested in the sources please contact me by email or by phone.
