Dear Patricia Lewis:

We can not go to USA for any testing. We tried to borrow a heavy empty
contaminated apartment from AEC for measuring the actual dose in
comparing with INER dose. Now we know the doses is not important

As the cancer mortality of irradiated residents in the Co-60 contaminated
houses have been reduced to very low, I do not agree with US EPA in
lowering the radon concentration limit and predicated the radon could
induced 20,000 lung cancer deaths each year. Could you prove I am right
with your radon health mine? Dr Sadao Hattori of CREIPIE ever invited me
to be a chartered researcher for study radon therapy, but had done
nothing, I would like to tell you what I had in my mind for him. I would
suggest him to prove the radon could reduce cancers, and the preceduree
for proving is arranging of about 10,000 the elder people to have a radon
recreation once a week or a month, and have carefully registered and
followed up of them for one or two years. If the radon could reduce
cancers, it could be easily observed. The cancer mortality rate for the
elder(age 65-75 ) is usually 8-10 times higher thqn the total cancer
mortality of whole population, the cancer deaths each year will be at
least of 100, and lung cancer will be 25. What will be the follow up
results? if it is 30-50% reduced, it is a good test. The elder people
might think the dose from radon(how much in a year?), but ANS and HPS
statements said 50 mSv a year is ok. So that the test for the elders has
only gain no loss.

I hope I could go to the IHS meeting.
