A quote from the above PDF file: "After 100 years, the radiotoxicity of all of ITER is comparable to that found in the ash of a coal plant."

The document is, of course, from a proponent of ITER, but it jibes with my earlier suggestion that ITER will not produce nearly as much long-lived radioactive waste as a fission power plant. You can Google for other sources for verification.

ITER will produce tritium and neutron activation products. The amount and long-lived activity of the latter will be minimized by a judicious selection of construction materials.
