[ RadSafe ] release of contaminated materials

Questions for fellow research reactor groups out there:

 

1.	How are you all releasing potentially contaminated materials ( I
mean, low level trash as well as scrap metals) from your site to
unrestricted areas?

I am more interested in release criteria for releasing objects as
"clean" to landfill!

2.	Have you all released metals and other objects as "clean trash"
after going through sorting and surveys?
3.	What type of survey techniques are you all using?
4.	Other than all the NRC information notices such as 81-07, 85-92
etc.. and reg guide 1.86, do we have any other recent documents which
specifically provides guidelines on releases to unrestricted areas?
5.	Can you all provide your experiences on this area?
