Re: LIQUID WASTE DISPOSAL

Andres, We treat our liquids similarly. Presently we hold all liquids with
a half life of 90 days or less for decay and after sampling, sewer. We are
awaiting city approval for sewering certain activity of H-3, C-14,P-32,
P-33, S-35 and I-125. Upon approval, we will centrally dispose of all
liquids. I do not feel that our investigator take the time to properly
assign activity to the liquids and therefore, it is necessary for us to do
our own assaying and assigning of activity. We also require a pH of 6-9 and
do random checking of our bottles and carboys to assure that the proper pH
is being maintained. We require that labs note on
the waste removal label the pH- if its not recorded they must do it before
we will remove the item.

For our carboys we have built plywood shelves that will hold carboys 2 deep,
using the floor, we then have 3 levels to store carboys on. We have these shelves
separated by isotope.
