Re: GE Maxitron X-Ray Units
We have a GE Maximar (not Maxitron) 250 kVp (20 mA max) unit. It's old (late
50's), and we're breaking it down to free up some room for source and waste
storage. I don't know the condition of the tube, as we are having the
transformer oils (PCBs?) evaluated. It is a monstrosity, so it's appropriate
that the only place we can put it is over in the Museum (of the Rockies) with
Jack Horner's dino fossils.
I don't know if the Maximar and the Maxitron are different, the same, or
close cousins, but you are welcome to contact me if interested. I could use
some info on the unit myself...
