get a load of this!



We recently received our first response to our renewal application from the  
Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety.  The letter is 15 pages long and has no  
less than 73 questions in it.  The tone is not very constructive or helpful  
either.  Here is one of the questions posed:

57. Revise and resubmit all procedures in your Radiation Safety Manual and
replace "should" with "shall", and remove and replace statements such as
"when desirable", "as needed", "recommended", "strongly suggested" and
"are necessary". Vague statements such as these are unacceptable.
