      Position Title:     RADIATION SAFETY TECHNICIAN III

      Duke University has an immediate need for a Radiation Safety
      Technician III to assist in the area of radiation safety.  Position
      includes performing radiological laboratory surveys, monitoring
      radioactive materials shipments, monitoring and documenting
      radioactivity levels in patient rooms, responding to radioactive
      spills, calibrating instruments.

      Education and Experience Requirements:

      BS degree in  health physics or other related discipline, or associate
      degree and 2 years of relevant experience.

      Knowledge Required:

      Knowledge of radiological principles and operational characteristics
      of radiological equipment.  Effective oral and written communication
      skills.  Ability to lift and carry heavy instruments and equipment.
      Physically able to serve on a spill response team.
