For 2 or 3 days now my mailbox has been jammed with messages
following the thread where someone wanted confirmation as
to whether he was reaching this listserver.  By now the
original poster _must_ know that he got through!  But if you
are inclined to respond to him anyway could you please send
your message to his personal email address.
