PEP Class Input

Greetings Radsafers,

I have read with interest the dialogue amongst the broad scope licensees
regarding annual reviews, leak testing of sealed sources, etc. As the PEP
coordinator for this upcoming annual HPS meeting in Boston, I see a couple of
topic areas that might be of interest.

Please give me your opinions, course content ideas etc. for the following two
PROPOSED PEP classes.

1) Conduct of annual reviews in accordance with 10CFR20.1101(c). This class
would review the guidance discussed in DG-0005 (RG 10.5) and provide practical
examples for program reviews. I have an instructor in mind who has extensive
auditing experience with both broad scope and power reactor licensees.

2) Implementation of 10 CFR 20 for broad scope licensees. This class would
focus on the revisions to 10 CFR 20 with a special emphasis on broad scope
licensees. I have spoken to USNRC staff about giving this type of class.

Is there enough interest for these PEPs? What kinds of things should be
included? Any other thoughts?

As a power plant person I am somewhat out of touch with the problems other
licensees face..... so please give me some input.

Thanks

Linda Sewell
