Actually, not just exposed, water that had built up an inventory of
radon/daughters. Do you have any idea of the concentrations that would be
achieved? Would it compare to high natural concentrations (that would also
include radium)?
As a "fad", there are numerous places in the world (Misasa Japan, Austria,
China, Russia) where radon spas continue to have large followings, with more
actual medical "prescription" patients in recent years in addition to
individuals seeking the health benefits (with some recent studies confirming
benefits, at least in the short term), while studies of local residents and
workers show no long term negative effects (who are much more exposed than
guests/patients).
